RYA Powerboat Level 1
One day introduction to powerboating.

Two day extensive course that introduces all aspects of boat handling.

International Certificate of Competence package
Two days with your own boat, looking at sea safety, close quarters manouvers, anchoring, navigation and passage planning.
The course includes:-
National Powerboat Certificate, International Certificate of Competence & 1 Year RYA membership.

The instructor and boat...

"I am a qualified RYA Powerboat Instructor, training under Tim Griffin in Cowes and tested at The Hamble. I have 24 years experience of driving powerboats including coastal and inland cabin cruisers and jet drives, as well as the more usual RIBs and other inflatable boats. I have also worked as part of the Maritime Volunteer Service (Royal Navy Auxiliary Service as was) which is a recognised training organisation. I have also driven safety boats for events such as the Thames Great River Race." - Martin Smith

Our training RIB 'Dizzy Izzy' is insured as an RYA training vessel for 4 people up to 3 miles from shore and has the specified compliment of navigational and safety equipment.
